NOT in the PUBLIC INTEREST

  • New York State Law mandates that a BID can be established ONLY if  it is “in the public interest”

SEND a MESSAGE to the Politicians who would SELL OUT SoHo

TELL THEM to REJECT the SoHo BID:

  1. The BID plan is another way commercial interest intend to socialize cost while internalizing profit.
    The entities that profit from doing business in the area should pay for the mess their patrons make in what was once a manageable neighborhood. Bringing more commercial traffic into an area which is already over crowded is a mistake. We suffer from people pollution now. The BID is totally a one sided
    proposition without any regard for quality of life concerns of the areas residents. Taxation of this kind is both unlawful and amoral, but then . . . Do either of those principles any longer matter?
